Creighton's First Pictures

Creighton's first photos at 12 days old. I told the photographer Creighton did not like being undressed and onsie and naked pictures would be hard... Boy did he make a liar of me! He was amazing and loved having his picture taken. What a precious little boy. Thanks to Adrianne for the wonderful pictures.

Easter Weekend

We had a great first Easter with Creighton! He was super excited to see what the Easter Bunny had filled in his basket!
Easter weekend I also gave my entertainment center a face lift. It was looking a little dinged up so I painted it "sugar blossom". I am very happy with how it turned out! Why I begin these projects though I'll never know. They are always more time consuming than I think they will be. 4 coats later and a very stinky house... TA-DA!
Here is the afterthought before picture.
While my dad was here him and Cason also did some home improving. They painted walls and replaced trim, built me some BEAUTIFUL shelves in my pantry (the space I have now is unbelievable), installed a new screen door, and did various other little projects. I was loving it. Hooray for dads and husbands!

Mommy's Little Monster

I love my little monster. This mommy stuff takes some getting use to, so blogging has been neglected. Here's a little of what we've been up to...
Aunt Jenilee bought Creighton this outfit. How did she know? Joking. Overall he is a very content baby. He smiles a lot-but right now I know it has less to do with me and more about gas.
Already an Arkansas Razorbacks fan! Grandpa Sanders was here from Arkansas this week to meet Creighton, his first grandson.
Creighton was interested in how he could grow facial hair like grandpa's. This is on his list of new things to attempt this week.
Four generations of Chambers! Great-Grandpa Darold, Daddy Cason, Grandpa Robert, and Creighton (2 weeks). We had Creighton blessed on his 2 week birthday. It was a very special experience for his mommy and daddy.
Creighton loves to take a bath. He is a little fish! We think he will love the water and be a swimmer! No matter how long we let him stay in he screams when it's time to get out. He is always wondering when it is bath time.
Only moms have ideas to snap pictures like this.
Most of the time Creighton is just showing off. He is always learning something new and knows his mom would be delighted to see. I am such a proud momma.

Cason's Saving Grace

Thank goodness for the X-Files. For Cason's birthday I got him seasons 1 and 2...it was an inspired birthday gift. At 2:00 or 3:00 am when Creighton has no intention of falling back asleep anytime soon him and his Daddy watch the X-Files. The male bonding has begun. I've watched some episodes and I know why I never watched it while it was on television-it is for sure one of the scariest television shows. No nightmares for Creighton yet, and as long as Cason is willing to get up with him...looks like I need to invest in seasons 3 and 4...

Proud to Announce...

We are so pleased to announce that CREIGHTON ELI CHAMBERS has joined our family! He arrived on Sunday, March 7th at 3:13 pm. He was 20.5 inches long and weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. We feel blessed that he arrived so healthy and strong. Surprisingly... he has red hair!

We arrived at the hospital Sunday March 7th at 5:00 am after a very long and uncomfortable Saturday afternoon and night. I was originally scheduled to be induced Sunday evening if he did not come on his own. I was hoping he could make it on his own and am so glad that he did. Labor went as well as labor goes I suppose. I am grateful I won't be doing it again tomorrow.

Creighton is such a beautiful baby and of course I have been snapping pictures since his birth trying to capture every moment. When he was first born it was hard for Cason and I to tell who he looked like. We agreed he didn't look like either of us. However... he now definitely looks just like Cason!

We were discharged from the hospital Monday afternoon at 1:00 pm. I am so glad that we did not have to stay there very long. It has been wonderful to bring him home. Our little man looked so handsome in the overalls that we brought him home in. And he loved the car ride!

Just barely 2 days old and we can't imagine what we would ever do without him. We are overjoyed that he has finally joined our family.

Our March Baby

Well no baby yet! We wondered if he would choose to come in February instead, but looks like he wants to be a March baby. On the website www.morphthing.com I morphed a baby picture of Cason and one of me together to see what perhaps our baby would look like! Kind of a neat website! The baby kind of looks like a girl, and is more like a 7 month old (we were both 7 months in the pictures I scanned) but it was a fun experiment. And what a cutie!! Now we are just playing the waiting game...
