Sidewalk Chalk

This week Creighton has been "baby-sitting" his Aunt Sidnie while Grandma and Grandpa Dennis are in Las Vegas. He just loves to be with Aunt Sidnie... her friends are SO cute!
He loves girls... and especially girls with chalk! This was Creighton's first time with sidewalk chalk and it was a  big hit!
 This is Kaylee.
Thanks for the fun time ladies!
Love, Creighton

Summer Swimming

Summer has finally arrived here in Pocatello. This week's highs have been in the 90's. Perfect swimming weather! Creighton loves to swim. Or... at least play in the water.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible: Grandma and Papa for the swimming pool, Big Daddy and Inotda for the swimming clothes, and Grandma and Grandpa Dennis for the water toys!
And of course Creighton needs his own patio chair! Especially great for watching fireworks!
We are excited for this summer to finally begin!

Mini Vacations

This week and next is Cason's vacation from work. We decided we just HAD to get out and do something. We jumped on the bandwagon and headed to Shoshone Falls. EVERYONE has been talking about it. And now we know why. It was pretty awesome to see. This year with all the rain and snow melt the falls were BEAUTIFUL. We were so glad that we made the trip.
Then the next day we took Creighton to the zoo in Idaho Falls!
He was interested in the water animals: the otters and the penguins.
But mostly he was just happy to see an animal. If it was hiding in the trees or wasn't moving he had no idea what all the fuss was about.
And he got to pet a goat! Creighton has been practicing being "soft" with Grandma and Papa's dog, Kannolli. It came in handy today!
Then we went to the BODY Exhibit (really cool) and had delicious Reed's Dairy Ice Cream! We headed up to Rexburg to visit Grandma and Papa Chambers' new home in Rexburg and Papa's office at BYU-I. Then they took us all out to dinner to celebrate... Cason and my 3rd year wedding anniversary! Now we need to decide what to do NEXT WEEK with Cason's vacation time.

Happy Daddy Day

No surprise- Creighton LOVES his daddy. These two always have a great time when they are together. Cason is a fabulous dad. He plays, plays, plays and never seems to get tired! He is always so willing to share half of the responsibility when it comes to taking care of Creighton.
For Father's Day Creighton got his daddy a new set of scriptures!
Father's Day picture in front of our "popcorn" tree!
Cason and I also have great dads that we love very much. Cason's dad is such a great example of how to treat your wife. He is so good to Cason's mom, Robin. Cason's parents had 4 sons and 1 daughter. I tell Cason it's because the Lord knew that those boys would be well taught and have a great father to teach them. I am grateful to Robert for the great dad and example he was to Cason.
I have always known that my dad wants the best for me. He has tried very hard my whole life to teach me how to be happy and have all the things I want and need. We would take long car rides to visit Grandma Betty and my dad would try to teach me about life. (Including stocks and bonds- but that stuff is confusing) I know that my dad would do anything to help me out. In junior high, he even bought my math book and would sit on the phone with me (him in Arkansas, me in Idaho) sometimes for hours, trying to help me understand math...
Those two men are Papa and Big Daddy to this little guy. And Creighton also has a GRANDPA DENNIS! Grandpa Dennis is so good to Creighton. He watches Creighton while mommy is at work and I know that he is being WELL taken care of! Today for Father's Day they celebrated with chocolate cupcakes and milk.

We are so lucky to have so many wonderful men in our lives. They DEFINITELY deserve a day where they can be celebrated!

Family Circus

This Sunday comic gave me a good laugh this morning. I feel like the artists captured this moment straight out of one of our days!

Lock and Key

Mr. Creighton is too smart for his own good.
This month: opening a door.
Next month: starting the car.

An Apple a Day

We at the Chambers house are trying to adopt some lifestyle changes. Like- eating less treats. Well, that's my goal. Cason doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. His goal- eat less cheese. Anyway, sometimes we get a craving we can't ignore. Today-Arctic Circle milkshakes! Daddy didn't eat all of his, so he gave the rest to Creighton.
I think Creighton should be the spokesbaby for Arctic Circle. I would definitely buy ice cream and hamburgers that this little guy was selling.
