A Chambers Easter

Let Creighton teach you how to dye Easter eggs.
Step 1: Call your Grandma and tell her that your mommy isn't dyeing eggs this year. She will feel so sad for you and invite you to her house.
Step 2: Dip your hard-boiled egg into the color of your choice.
Step 3: Lots of clanking with the spoon and splashing will ensure your egg is completely covered in dye. It will also ensure your hard-boiled egg gets broken and that your pajama pants are covered in green dye.
Step 4: Check your egg for the desired color.
Step 5: If you desire a deeper shade, place back in dye and continue with more clanking and splashing. Squeals help the process go quicker.
Step 6: When your egg is just the right color, set it far away to dry.
Step 7: If you are allowed to do more, pick your next favorite color and REPEAT!
The Easter Bunny visited our family...
Creighton just loves to wake up in the morning to surprises!
Big boy cups were among some goodies left.
Daddy and Creighton were hyped-up on sugary cereal this morning. Froot-Loops for Creighton and Fruity Pebbles for Daddy.
After the Froot-Loop effects wore off it was time for Easter Dinner. Creighton loves to visit Grandma and Grandpa's house... Always so many to play with!
Aunt Sidnie taught Creighton to color and she read him books. Uncle Brady taught Creighton to throw Easter Eggs at Aunt Sidnie...
More treats? OK...I'm just glad to see him eating. Despite whatever junk it might be... (Heard about the hunger strike at our house?)
The Easter Bunny even visited Creighton at his Grandma's house! Sandbox toys... Mommy just might convince Daddy to buy that turtle sandbox.
Another spoiled holiday at our house... And if you didn't get enough sugar, please stop by ours and pick some up. PLEASE.

Hair Cuts

This mommy loves to take celebrate anything that is a "first". So when it was time for Creighton's 1st haircut-I made a BIG DEAL out of it.

Here is a before picture of his messy mane.

During the haircut he was a pretty good boy. He even let the hairstylist use the clippers on his neck. The result was a cute little boy with a sharp looking haircut!!
Grandma Wilde insisted that he didn't have enough hair to cut. In fact she is always rubbing his scalp saying, "I am stimulating his hair folicles." But I kept a lock of his red hair-3 inches!

Fresh haircuts are so handsome!

Dancing Queen

Today is my little sister's 17th birthday. I can't believe it... I remember the day that she was born!

We celebrated with brownie sundaes and a little "Just Dance 2" on the Wii. Cason tamed me in all three dances. If only I had my beautiful sister's dancing skills. She is a member of the Highland High School dance team and she can bust a move.

I love to watch "Dancing With The Stars", but if I was on there this is what the judges would say:

Bruno (remember the accent): "You are like the tin man before he was greased. Your legs and arms they are so stiff. You need to loosen up a bit... enjoy what you are doing."

Carrie Ann: "First of all, I just want to say that you look beautiful and I can tell that you tried really hard. However, it just wasn't very good at all. But I appreciate your willingness to try something new"

Len: "That was simply dreadful. (booing from the crowd) Oh, stop booing... it's the truth! Your feet were a mess, I couldn't figure out what you were doing with the top part of your body. You can improve in all areas."

I would be lucky to get a collective score of 12. Oh...I wish I could dance.

How Was Your Weekend?

What a wonderful weekend the Chambers family had! Listening to conference was so uplifting. I feel renewed and determined to be a better wife, mother, friend, visiting teacher, and disciple of Jesus Christ. I am setting some goals and looking forward to making some changes in my life. The words of the prophet and apostles were truly inspired. The messages brought me so much peace. Oh, how I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Smells Fresh

Creighton loves dryer sheets!

And chapstick, and bobby pins, and cookie cutters... He loves to get his hands on it all!

In fact, he is so busy lately that he would rather not waste time and stop to eat. Creighton is starting to slim out and is losing weight. And he doesn't have much to lose! I hope it's just a phase and his appetite comes back soon!
